Our client, a leading manufacturer in the printing and packaging industry, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Press Operator to join their team. As a Press Operator, you will be an essential part of the production department supporting the manufacturing process. The ideal candidate will demonstrate attention to detail, reliability, and a proactive approach to safety and quality, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Press Operator
Location: Appleton, WI
Pay Range: $20-$22 $2 plus night premium
Shift: Day and Night shift (12's)
Training: Monday to Thursday on 12's - after trained move to 2-2-3 schedule
What's the Job?
- Support the primary operator in setting up and operating flexographic presses to produce high-quality print and coating on various substrates.
- Perform quality inspections and ensure products meet customer specifications and standards.
- Maintain and troubleshoot printing equipment, including cleaning, general maintenance, and adjustments to optimize performance.
- Accurately record production data and equipment logs using company systems such as ERP (EPICOR).
- Adhere to all safety procedures, safety equipment, and company policies to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
What's Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
- Ability to pass a color perception test.
- One to three years of flexographic press operation or related experience preferred.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with ERP systems.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently.
