Shipping Coordinator

Our client is seeking a Shipping Coordinator to join their team in Lake Katrine, NY. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will be part of the operations team supporting day-to-day shipping and distribution needs. The ideal candidate will bring strong organization, attention to detail, and the ability to handle time-sensitive tasks with confidence—while staying ready to jump in and assist production when shipping demands are complete.

Job Title: Shipping Coordinator

Location: Lake Katrine, NY

Pay Range: $19 - $20 per hour

Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4pm with OT as needed

What's the Job?

• Process orders and prepare shipments by generating packing slips and entering shipping details into Sage. Training can be provided if you have good computer skills.
• Coordinate with couriers and shipping agents, arranging pickups and deliveries while managing shipment schedules.
• Track incoming and outgoing packages and maintain accurate shipment documentation to ensure shipping procedures are followed.
• Create shipping labels and schedule pickups using UPS Worldship and the FedEx Shipping Website, based on customer and carrier requirements.
• Support production when not shipping, including assisting with pipe cutting, machine operation, and finishing as needed.

What's Needed?

• Experience with shipping and logistics workflows, including order processing, label creation, and shipment scheduling (software experience is a plus; training may be provided).
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time-sensitive tasks accurately and consistently.
• Comfort using shipping tools and systems, including Sage, UPS Worldship, and FedEx Shipping Website (training available for specific platforms).
• Ability to read instructions clearly, maintain neat handwriting, and accurately measure using a tape and calipers.
• Mechanical aptitude and willingness to assist in production tasks; ability to lift up to 75 lbs. unassisted and stand for long periods.
