Building Engineer - Level 1

Our client, a leading facilities management and building operations company, is seeking a Boiler Operator / Building Engineer to join their team. As a Boiler Operator / Building Engineer, you will be part of the Facilities Operations Team supporting onsite engineering and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong safety awareness, the ability to react quickly in high-pressure situations, and strong problem-solving skills, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Boiler Operator / Building Engineer

Location: Youngstown, OH

Pay Range: $33/hr

What’s the Job?

• Perform routine visual inspections of high-pressure boiler systems, gauges, water levels, and chemical levels.
• Monitor, operate, and maintain boiler, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and utility systems.
• Complete preventive maintenance activities, emergency repairs, and operational logs.
• Respond quickly to equipment issues and make adjustments to optimize plant performance.
• Maintain compliance with safety regulations and building operational standards.

What’s Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED.
• High Pressure Boiler Steam License (required).
• 1-2 years of boiler operation or related facility maintenance experience.
• Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate operational records.
• Strong commitment to safety and ability to perform in high-pressure environments.
