CAD Designer

Our client, a leading Energy Technology and Power Generation company, is seeking a CAD Designer I to join their team. As a CAD Designer I, you will be part of the Engineering and Design Department supporting Engineering and Project Teams. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title:  CAD Designer I
Location: Schenectady, NY (100% On-Site)
Pay Range: $35/hour

What's the Job?

• Create CAD models and drawings from sketches, layouts, and engineering instructions.
• Revise and update engineering drawings as directed by Engineers and Project Managers.
• Follow established drafting, modeling, and documentation standards.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to support project requirements and deadlines.
• Maintain quality, accuracy, and compliance in all technical documentation.

What's Needed?

• Associate Degree in Technology, Drafting, or a related field; OR completion of a vocational/technical drafting program.
• Proficiency with CAD software.
• Knowledge of drafting practices and procedures, including GD&T.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work onsite in Schenectady, NY.
