CAD Drafter

Our client, a leading engineering and manufacturing organization, is seeking a CAD Designer/Drafter to join their team. As a CAD Designer/Drafter, you will be part of the Application Engineering Department supporting engineering and project teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and excellent organizational skills which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: CAD Designer/Drafter

Location: San Antonio, TX

Pay Range: $30-$35/hour

What’s the Job?

• Develop and modify 2D and 3D designs and documentation utilizing AutoCAD.
• Create and revise mechanical drawings based on engineering specifications and written instructions.
• Design facility and plant layouts, including equipment placement, aisles, material flow, and operational clearances.
• Calculate and validate building and site layouts, including travel paths, parking areas, doors, walls, lighting, and other facility features.
• Manage and organize drawing requests while collaborating with engineering teams to ensure project completion.

What’s Needed?

• Associate degree in Engineering, Drafting, or a related field with two (2) years of drafting/design experience; or four (4) years of related experience in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD (2D and 3D) and working knowledge of AutoCAD Mechanical.
• Experience creating drafting and design layouts for facilities, buildings, or equipment installations.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, PDF software, and ability to learn new internal software systems.
• Ability to work independently, manage multiple projects, and collaborate effectively with various levels of leadership.
