Our client, a public works organization dedicated to maintaining and improving community infrastructure, is seeking a Pavement Manager to join their team. As a Pavement Manager, you will be part of the Department of Public Works supporting infrastructure maintenance and development. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent analytical abilities, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization.

Pay Range:$83,000 - $185,000
What's the Job?
- Administer and oversee the Town’s road maintenance program, ensuring effective asset management and condition tracking.
- Coordinate inspections of roads, bridges, trails, and sidewalks to maintain safety and quality standards.
- Develop and manage multi-year paving and maintenance plans utilizing advanced software tools such as GIS and asset management systems.
- Create project scopes, cost estimates, and schedules for maintenance and rehabilitation projects, managing budgets and resources efficiently.
- Ensure all infrastructure improvements comply with ADA/PROWAG standards and coordinate with various stakeholders including contractors, departments, and external agencies.
What's Needed?
- Degree in engineering, project management, road construction, or a related field, with a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
- Experience managing construction projects, including budgeting, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Ability to interpret technical plans, specifications, and blueprints effectively.
- Knowledge of pavement management software, asset management systems, and construction standards.
- Valid driver’s license with a safe driving record and the ability to obtain VDOT certifications within specified timeframes.
