Our client, Industrial and Manufacturing is seeking a Project Industrial Health and Safety Specialist to join their team. As a Project Industrial Health and Safety Specialist, you will be part of the EHS function supporting the Owner’s safety representation team. The ideal candidate will have a strong safety-first mindset, the ability to work independently with minimal direction, and the drive to lead daily site oversight while building trust with contractors and stakeholders.

Pay Range: $120-150k
What's the Job?
- Serve as an Owner’s safety representative for a chemical-related construction and inspection work scope, providing daily on-site support in Orange County, CA.
- Develop, implement, and maintain health and safety policies, procedures, and work permitting processes, including task-specific risk assessments and hazard mitigations.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and hazard analyses for construction activities and new processes, evaluating new equipment and managing safety risk during workforce transitions.
- Provide daily safety oversight and complete required documentation, including safety inspections, audits, incident/near-miss records, and training/compliance tracking.
- Monitor compliance for assigned work with OSHA, EPA, and other applicable regulations, including AQMD requirements, and support emergency response planning and drills.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field.
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a health and safety role in a manufacturing environment, preferably aerospace or defense manufacturing.
- In-depth knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health and safety regulations, with strong understanding of compliance expectations.
- Extensive EH&S site inspection experience overseeing construction safety activities, including scaffolding, sandblasting, hot work, pipe welding and installation, and other standard construction operations.
- Ability to work independently, require little to no direction, and effectively communicate priorities, risks, and mitigation actions to contractors and internal stakeholders.
