Senior Instructional Designer, Manufacturing Training

Our client, Manufacturing industry is seeking a Instructional Designer to join their team. As a Instructional Designer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Operations department supporting Manufacturing Operations. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, technical translation expertise, and a collaborative mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Instructional Designer

Location: Hayward, CA

Pay Range: $60-$63/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Design and develop structured curricula for manufacturing and logistics teams, including virtual, instructor-led, and on-the-job training modules.
• Create engaging, high-quality virtual training content using Articulate 360/Rise, ensuring accessibility and instructional best practices.
• Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts and Technical Writers to translate complex technical documentation into interactive learning experiences.
• Develop assessments and practical qualification checklists to verify learner competency and promote knowledge retention.
• Define and standardize on-the-job training processes, ensuring seamless transition from virtual learning to practical application in industrial environments.

What's Needed?

• 5 to 7 years of experience in instructional design within technical or industrial settings.
• Proficiency in Articulate 360 (Rise/Storyline) and familiarity with enterprise LMS platforms such as Docebo.
• Strong ability to synthesize complex technical documentation into clear, engaging training content.
• Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively with SMEs, managers, and technical teams in fast-paced environments.
• Experience managing and developing comprehensive training programs independently.
