Construction Quality Engineer  St. Louis, MO (On-site)

Our client, a leading construction and engineering organization, is seeking a Construction Quality Engineer to join their team. As a Construction Quality Engineer, you will be part of the Quality Assurance / Quality Control (QA/QC) Department supporting project managers, engineers, and construction execution teams. The ideal candidate will have strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong problem-solving abilities which will align successfully in the organization. 

Job Title: Construction Quality Engineer 

Location: St. Louis, MO (On-site required) 

Pay Range:  $55 – $60/hr  

What’s the Job? 

• Develop and implement QA/QC plans for construction projects  

• Conduct inspections and audits of construction sites to ensure compliance with standards and specifications  

• Review and approve quality documentation such as test plans, inspection reports, and material submittals  

• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to identify and resolve quality issues  

• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions to improve quality performance  

What’s Needed? 

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (preferred: Industrial or Mechanical), Construction Management, or related field  

• 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control within the construction industry  

• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, industry standards, codes, and best practices  

• Experience with Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001)  

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills including root cause analysis and implementation of corrective and preventive actions  

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, contractors, and stakeholders  

• Ability to work independently and in a team environment while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction setting  

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software tools  

• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical models
