Project Manager

Our client, a leader in vehicle development and engineering, is seeking a Project Manager to join their team. As a Project Manager, you will be part of the Vehicle Program Management department supporting cross-functional teams involved in hardware engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, and quality assurance. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills, proactive communication, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Vehicle Project Manager, Program Operations

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $75-$80/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Manage vehicle hardware projects and deliverables throughout the entire product life cycle, from concept to end of life.
• Build and maintain detailed project schedules, track milestones, dependencies, and risks, and implement mitigation strategies.
• Lead change management activities for hardware systems, including assessing impacts and driving engineering changes through approval and implementation processes.
• Facilitate program meetings, milestone reviews, and readiness assessments, ensuring clear decision-making and follow-through.
• Act as a central communication hub between engineering, operations, and stakeholders, streamlining information flow and surfacing escalations.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, Automotive, or related field) or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of project or program management experience in automotive hardware or hardware systems development.
• Experience managing products through the hardware lifecycle, including applying structured change management processes.
• Strong ability to lead cross-functional teams and drive projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency with productivity and collaboration tools such as Google Workspace, Jira, Confluence, and Slack; experience with PLM systems is a plus.
