🚀 Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Quality Assurance (QA) Technician I to play a key role in ensuring product excellence and compliance with strict quality standards. This position is ideal for someone who thrives in a hands-on manufacturing environment, enjoys precision work, and values teamwork. You will work closely with production and engineering teams to maintain top-tier quality while contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
🛠️ What’s the Job?
- Inspect machined workpieces to ensure compliance with specifications
- Interpret and follow written inspection instructions, quality requirements, and customer specifications
- Measure dimensions using precision instruments (micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, optical comparator, X-Y-Z measuring equipment, X-ray equipment)
- Locate reference points and measure angles, arcs, and radii using tools such as surface plates, angle plates, gauge blocks, and V-blocks
- Complete inspection forms and detailed quality reports
- Perform first-run, in-process, and final inspections
- Conduct airflow tests and incoming inspections
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to support quality processes
- Utilize computerized shop floor tools
- Perform additional related duties as needed
✅ What’s Needed?
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Ability to lift/push/pull at least 50 pounds (with or without accommodation)
- Ability to work overtime and occasional weekends
- Willingness to wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, ear plugs, safety shoes)
- Experience in manufacturing preferred
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and instructions
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
- Comfortable working in a shop floor environment
- Strong teamwork skills and flexibility to support multiple areas
- Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and self-motivation
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, or protected individuals) due to export regulations
