Sr. Plant Manager

Our client, an innovative leader in sustainable energy and waste management, is seeking a Sr. Plant Manager to join their team. As a Sr. Plant Manager, you will be part of the Operations Department supporting the plant operations team. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Sr. Plant Manager

Location: Bay Area (Sunnyvale/Fremont)

Pay Range: Up to $170,000

What's the Job?

• Lead the commissioning and operational setup of the plant, ensuring a safe and timely launch.
• Coordinate with contractors, vendors, and local authorities to facilitate factory and site acceptance testing.
• Develop and implement comprehensive safety programs and maintenance schedules to optimize plant performance.
• Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing operational team focused on safety, accountability, and excellence.
• Manage daily plant operations, ensuring production targets, quality standards, and regulatory compliance are met.

What's Needed?

• 6+ years of experience in process manufacturing or heavy industry, with at least 3 years managing teams and full accountability for a plant or production area.
• Experience commissioning and starting up new plants or major production lines.
• Background in thermal or bulk-solids processing environments such as pyrolysis, gasification, biomass power, or similar.
• Proven track record of safety management and implementing effective EHS programs.
• Strong leadership skills with experience building and maintaining preventive maintenance programs and managing uptime targets.
