Test Automation Engineer

Our client, a leading innovator in autonomous vehicle technology, is seeking a dedicated and skilled Test Automation Engineer to join their dynamic team. As a Test Automation Engineer, you will be an integral part of the Hardware Development Department supporting cross-disciplinary teams. The ideal candidate will demonstrate enthusiasm, innovation, and a proactive mindset, aligning seamlessly with the organization’s mission to bring advanced autonomous vehicle solutions to market.

Job Title: Hardware Test Automation Engineer

Location: Foster City, CA

Pay Range: $90-$95/hour + Benefits

What's the Job?

• Develop scripts and libraries to automate station configuration and test suite execution.
• Implement prototype and production tests for compute and sensor firmware and hardware.
• Collaborate with test leads to design test plans and test stations based on technical specifications.
• Work closely with Mechanical, Electrical, Firmware, and Systems engineers to develop comprehensive testing modules and hardware-in-the-loop tests.
• Design and build tools for post-processing and visualization of test data, ensuring clarity and accessibility.

What's Needed?

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science.
• 5+ years of object-oriented programming experience in Python.
• 3+ years of experience testing electronics in a lab environment using tools like power supplies.
• Experience with test automation frameworks such as PyTest or Robot Framework.
• Proficiency in concurrent programming using threads and queues.
