Our client, a leader in logistics and distribution, is seeking a detail-oriented Shipping Clerk to join their team in Oak Ridge, TN. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys administrative and shipping-related work, has strong computer skills, and takes pride in accuracy and organization. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working with shipping software, paperwork, carrier documentation, and preparing shipments for delivery.

Job Title: Shipping Clerk

Location: Oak Ridge, TN

Pay: 21/hr

Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM Mon-Fri

What's the Job?

• Prepare and process outbound shipments using FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriers
• Create shipping labels, bills of lading, and other required shipping documentation
• Ensure all shipment paperwork is completed accurately and efficiently
• Label, wrap, stack, and prepare pallets for shipment
• Verify shipping information and maintain accurate records in company systems
• Communicate with carriers and internal departments regarding shipment status and requirements
• Assist with inventory control, stock organization, and shipping-related data entry
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe shipping area

What's Needed?

• Previous shipping, logistics, shipping clerk, or administrative experience preferred
• Strong PC skills and experience using computer systems and software applications
• Familiarity with shipping processes, including FedEx, UPS, and LTL freight shipments
• Comfortable handling paperwork, shipping documents, and data entry tasks throughout the day
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when processing orders and shipments
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Ability to work independently while supporting a team environment
• Ability to stand, lift, and move materials as needed
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards

The strongest candidates will have experience with shipping documentation, carrier systems, data entry, and computer-based tasks. Attention to detail is critical, as this role requires accuracy when preparing shipment paperwork, processing orders, and ensuring products are shipped correctly through FedEx, UPS, and LTL carriers.
