Welder/Rigging Technician

Manpower in Huntington,WV is seeking a skilled and safety-focused Welder / Rigging Technician for a client in the tristate area. This role combines precision welding with rigging responsibilities to support the safe lifting, moving, and installation of heavy equipment and structural components. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in both disciplines and is committed to maintaining high-quality workmanship and strict safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform MIG, TIG, and/or Stick welding on a variety of materials
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and rigging plans
• Safely set up and execute rigging operations, including lifting, hoisting, and securing loads
• Inspect and maintain welding and rigging equipment
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently and safely
• Ensure compliance with all workplace safety regulations and procedures
• Conduct routine safety checks and report any hazards or equipment issues

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a welder and/or rigging technician
• Valid welding certifications (preferred)
• Knowledge of rigging hardware, load calculations, and safe lifting practices
• Ability to read technical documents and schematics
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Good physical condition and ability to work in demanding environments
• Familiarity with OSHA standards or equivalent safety regulations
• Some out of town travel required.(expenses paid)
