Job Title: CNC Machinist
Location: Chaska, MN
Pay Range: $24-30/HR + Shift Differential
Are you a skilled Machinist who takes pride in producing precision components and solving technical challenges? We are seeking experienced manual and CNC machinists to join a growing manufacturing team producing highly engineered components used in critical industrial applications.
This position offers the opportunity to work with advanced machining equipment, collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams, and contribute to continuous improvement efforts in a safety-focused environment.
Schedule
Choose from one of the following shift options:
- Monday-Thursday, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
- Tuesday-Friday, 4:00 PM - 2:00 AM
Shift Differential: $1.25/hour
What is the Job:
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and work orders
- Set up and operate manual and CNC machine tools including lathes, mills, grinders, and multi-axis equipment
- Install tooling, fixtures, and accessories while preparing machines for production
- Make machine adjustments and verify CNC program readiness
- Support production startups and machining process improvements
- Program or modify CNC machining operations using Mastercam and related software when applicable
- Verify dimensions and product quality using precision measuring instruments
- Record production activity and issue materials through SAP and manufacturing systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and routine equipment care
- Troubleshoot machining issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a safe, organized, and efficient work environment
What is Needed:
- High school diploma or GED
- Minimum 2 years of manufacturing or machining experience preferred
- Experience operating CNC or manual machine tools
- Ability to read engineering drawings and blueprints
- Understanding of machining practices, tooling selection, and setup procedures
- Knowledge of G & M codes
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting abilities
- Ability to hold tight tolerances and produce high-quality work
- Experience with Mastercam is a plus
- SAP experience is a plus
