Our client, a leading manufacturing organization specializing in producing high-quality feed premixes, is seeking a dedicated Production Operator to join their team. As a Production Operator, you will be an essential part of the production floor supporting the manufacturing of custom vitamin premixes. The ideal candidate will demonstrate dependability, flexibility, and physical stamina, which will align successfully within the organization.

Job Title: Production Operator

Location: Ames, IA

Pay Range: $20.50 per hour

Shift: Monday-Thursday, 9:00 PM - 7:30 AM; Sunday-Thursday, 4x10 schedule

What's the Job?

  • Operate production equipment in accordance with safety, quality, and operational standards
  • Handle raw materials, transport, weigh, and add them to mixers as per batch formulas
  • Inspect raw materials and finished goods for quality assurance
  • Complete batch documentation, labels, and samples for quality testing
  • Perform minor maintenance on equipment to ensure continuous operation

What's Needed?

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to perform physical labor, including lifting up to 50 lbs frequently
  • Reliable transportation and punctual attendance
  • Experience operating forklifts and mechanical equipment preferred
  • Must pass physical and safety clearance tests including OSHA questionnaire, pulmonary function test, respirator fit test, audiogram, vision screening, drug screening, and lift test
