Production Worker

Our client is seeking a Production Worker to join their team.  As a Production Worker, you will be part of the supporting the production crew.  The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, the ability to follow safety procedures, and the willingness to stay flexible in a fast-paced environment which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Production Worker

Location: Kingston, NY

Pay Range: $18.00/hr

Shift: 7am - 3:00pm (TUE, WED, THU; may include an extra day on Fridays or a 1/2 day on Saturday in summer months)
 

What's the Job?

• Sort recycled items (cans, glass, and plastic bottles) from a conveyor and toss them into designated chutes/bins
• Perform general recycling facility helper duties when the sorting line is not running, including concrete, E-waste, trash/debris pickup, and directing traffic
• Support production needs by helping where needed and staying flexible as priorities change
• Stand throughout the shift and complete repetitive reaching, bending, and squatting tasks as required
• Accurately punch in/out daily on UCRRA’s time clock and enter hours into Peoplenet

What's Needed?

• Ability to stand for the duration of the shift and perform repetitive reaching and bending tasks
• Ability to reach, bend, and squat safely; lifting is not heavy but movement is frequent
• Reliable transportation to the site, as rides and bicycle commuting have not worked out reliably and bicycle commuting can be dangerous due to the location on a major highway
• Ability to follow attendance and communication expectations; if late or absent, call/text Engel at 845-532-3880 and then call/text Manpower
• Safety-focused mindset and willingness to wear required PPE (client provides work gloves, safety glasses, ear plugs, hard hat, and safety vest; you must have S/T work boots or shoes)
