SMT Machine Operator 1st Shift

Our client, a leader in electronics manufacturing, is seeking a SMT Machine Operator 1st Shift to join their team. As a SMT Machine Operator 1st Shift, you will be part of the production department supporting manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, strong technical skills, and a proactive attitude, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: SMT Machine Operator 1st Shift

Location: Boonton, NJ

Pay Range: $18.25 hourly 

Shift: First Shift (7:00 am to 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday)

What's the Job?

• Set up and operate printed circuit board assembly machinery utilizing surface mount technology
• Ensure proper machine setup, including feeder and magazine population
• Monitor and adjust reflow oven temperature and operation for optimal soldering
• Perform first piece and in-process inspections to maintain quality standards
• Manage parts inventory and perform routine machine maintenance and minor repairs

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or equivalent required; advanced education preferred
• Experience with surface mount board assembly machines for at least one year
• Familiarity with using personal computers and relevant software
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision
• Strong safety awareness and commitment to quality standards
