Production Chemist

Our client, a life sciences manufacturing organization is seeking a Production Chemist to join their team. As a Production Chemist, you will be part of the Production team supporting laboratory and manufacturing operations. The ideal candidate will have strong documentation habits, the ability to follow controlled procedures, and a safety-first mindset which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Production Chemist

Location: Irvine, CA

Pay Range: $33.80 - $41 per hour

Shift: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM

What's the Job?

• Formulate bulk products and intermediates of low to medium complexity using biologicals and chemicals to meet approved specifications.
• Complete data entry and inventory control using the ERP database (SAP is a plus).
• Prepare and maintain production documentation and quality records in alignment with GDP/GMP standards.
• Coordinate, prioritize, and plan lab tasks to meet strict deadlines while following controlled Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and documents.
• Monitor manufacturing processes and make necessary adjustments to achieve required yields.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field.
• 0-3 years of experience in general manufacturing, formulating products in biological sciences/life sciences, or an equivalent background.
• Ability to follow guidelines and safely handle hazardous materials.
• Comfort working in a product team and making decisions of limited scope, subject to review.
• Strong documentation skills and working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP), including basic familiarity with laboratory environments, materials, and equipment.
