Forklift Operator

Our client, manufacturing is seeking a Forklift Operator to join their team.  As a Forklift Operator, you will be part of the operations team supporting daily production and waste processing in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to safety, the ability to stay focused in a noisy and physically demanding setting, and the drive to keep work areas organized and running efficiently—so you can help keep materials moving and production on track.

Job Title: Forklift Operator

Location: Middletown, NY

Pay Range: $21.80/hr

Shift: 2nd Shift- Monday–Friday, 3:00PM–11:00PM
          3rd Shift- Monday-Friday, 11:00PM- 7:00AM
 

What's the Job?

• Safely operate the facility’s baler, “hogger,” and forklift to process manufacturing waste.
• Feed cull sheets and scrap cardboard into the hogger, then ensure bales are properly tied off and neatly stacked.
• Load waste trucks efficiently to help maximize hauling capacity.
• Maintain excellent housekeeping by keeping the machine and surrounding work area clean and organized.
• Complete safety and maintenance inspections on forklifts before use and follow all OSHA and company safety guidelines.

What's Needed?

• High School Diploma or GED is generally preferred.
• Prior forklift certification and operating experience are typically required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and demonstrate basic math aptitude.
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, noisy, and physically demanding environment.
• Strong attention to safety practices and willingness to follow procedures every shift.
