• Loading and unloading freight safely.

• Stacking and storing merchandise efficiently.

• Operating forklifts and pallet jacks in compliance with safety standards.

  Requirements

• OSHA Certification – The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requires forklift operators to be certified before operating a forklift.

• Training – Certification involves classroom instruction, hands-on training, and passing an exam.

• Age Requirement – You must be at least 18 years old to legally operate a forklift.

• Safety Knowledge – Employers look for candidates who understand workplace safety and proper forklift operation.

• Physical Fitness – The job may require lifting, standing for long periods, and operating heavy machinery.
