Packer

Our client, Warehouse & Fulfillment is seeking a Packer to join their team. As a Packer, you will be part of the Warehouse Operations supporting the Shipping & Packing team. The ideal candidate will have attention to detail, a strong work ethic, and the ability to follow procedures which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Packer

Location: Orangeburg, NY

Pay Range: $17

Shift: 4pm - 12:30am (Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed, Thu)
 

What's the Job?

• Use handheld scan guns (similar to an iPhone) to scan products and follow the on-shelf green light instructions.
• Place scanned items into totes and move them along the conveyor belt for packing into boxes.
• Pack items into boxes, ensure labels are applied correctly, and prepare shipments for dispatch.
• Perform basic packing duties and support other warehouse tasks as assigned (including packing items into boxes based on picking slips).
• Stay focused on accuracy and process compliance while working on your feet for the full shift.

What's Needed?

• Prior warehouse experience needed.
• Ability to communicate in English and speak and understand Spanish.
• Ability to stand for the entire shift and work at a steady pace.
• Comfort with scanning and packing procedures; you will be trained on the scanning and packing process.
• County background check required (7-year criminal requirement).

What's the Job?

• Usar pistolas de escaneo manuales (similares a un iPhone) para escanear productos y seguir las indicaciones de la luz verde en el estante.
• Colocar los artículos escaneados en totes y moverlos por la banda transportadora para empacarlos en cajas.
• Empacar artículos en cajas, verificar que las etiquetas se apliquen correctamente y preparar los envíos.

What's Needed?

• Capacidad para permanecer de pie durante toda la jornada y trabajar a un ritmo constante.
• Comodidad con el escaneo y el proceso de empaque; se brindará capacitación en el escaneo y el empaque.
• Se requiere verificación de antecedentes del condado (requisito de 7 años en historial criminal).
