Our client, an industrial manufacturing environment, is seeking a Production Lead to join their team. As a Production Lead, you will be part of the Operations team supporting production and assembly activities. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on leadership on the production floor, and a safety-first mindset that will align successfully in the organization.

What's the Job?

  • Directly supervise the production team, providing day-to-day leadership, direction, coaching, performance feedback, and accountability.
  • Monitor work-order progress and resolve routine issues related to delays, shortages, quality concerns, equipment problems, or capacity constraints; escalate promptly when needed.
  • Lead hands-on setup and execution of mechanical chain assembly/production work, ensuring operators follow drawings, BOMs, routings, specifications, and work instructions.
  • Use Oracle JD Edwards (JDE) and coupled stock/warehouse-management tools to support work-order status, material movements, production completions, picking/staging, inventory locations, and discrepancy investigation.
  • Support first-level mechanical troubleshooting and quality execution by containing nonconforming material, coordinating inspection and rework, participating in root-cause analysis, and verifying corrective-action follow-through.

What's Needed?

  • Hands-on experience in mechanical manufacturing, assembly, metal products, power-transmission components, machining, fabrication, or a comparable production environment.
  • Demonstrated experience supervising production personnel, including daily work assignments, performance monitoring, employee training and development, and enforcement of workplace standards.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with practical experience troubleshooting production machinery, tooling, fixtures, and equipment, supporting preventive or corrective maintenance.
  • Ability to read and work from drawings, specifications, measurements, Bills of Material (BOMs), routings, work instructions, and other production documentation.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP and warehouse/stock-management systems for work orders, material and inventory movements, production records, and discrepancy investigation.
