Our client, a leading aluminum die casting manufacturer, is seeking a Process Control Technician to join their team. As a Process Control Technician, you will be part of the Engineering and Manufacturing team supporting Production, Quality, Tooling, and Maintenance. The ideal candidate will have strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset that will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Process Control Technician

Shift: 6:00AM to 2:00PM CST (M-F)

Location: Grafton, WI

Pay Range: $28.50 to $41.00/hr

What’s the Job?

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize die casting process parameters to ensure consistent quality, productivity, and safe operation.
  • Monitor critical process variables including melt temperature, die temperature, injection speeds, intensification pressure, fill time, and cycle time.
  • Analyze casting defects such as porosity, cold shuts, flash, soldering, misruns, and shrinkage, performing root cause analysis to drive corrective actions.
  • Support die tryouts, new product launches, production trials, and validation of process improvements.
  • Train operators and setup technicians on approved process standards while supporting continuous improvement and scrap reduction initiatives.

What’s Needed?

  • 2+ years of experience in manufacturing, industrial production, die casting, machining, automation, maintenance, or a related environment.
  • Strong understanding of process control, aluminum casting operations, hydraulic systems, thermal management, and die lubrication systems.
  • Ability to analyze production and quality data, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and implement process improvements.
  • Experience with process monitoring systems, manufacturing documentation, and standard operating procedures.
  • Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
