Permanent Opportunity for an HR Manager in Pickering

As a Human Resources Manager you will join a fast growing entrepreneurial company that specializes in helping Canadians deliver their goods to the world at unbelievable prices.

What is the job?

- Establish and implement values, vision and mission into everything we do

- Be a voice and ear for the team as well as for the business and the clients

- Establish, implement and update Human Resource policies, goals, objectives, and procedures, ensuring compliance with all company policies, Federal and Provincial Legislation and the Canada Labour Code

- Assist Senior Management with Branch Audits, Employee Reviews and Scorecards

- Administrative duties including creation of employment letters and staff documentation

- Coaching, guidance, training and performance management of staff

- Comply with all company safety and risk management policies and procedures

- Promotes employee satisfaction with Employee Retention a key goal

- Monitor Payroll processing and ensure all policy and legislative policies are met

- Administrate benefits and compensation to coincide with calendar alerts to management

- Establish roles, responsibilities and job scorecards for all positions

- Screen, interview, hire, on-board and terminate candidates

- Assist in conflict resolution and HR issues

- Oversee and give guidance to management in regards to coaching, training and reviews for staff and help with announcements and communication with staff

- Organize branch and staff meetings, annual summer and Christmas events for the team

What you bring to the job?

- Post-Secondary degree in Human Resources or related field

- Minimum 5 years industry experience preferred overseeing Human Resources for a group of 30+ people

- CHRP designation an asset

- Strong leadership skills

- Ability to excel in a fast paced environment and demonstrate effective time management

- Ability to multitask with efficiency in a fast paced environment

- Excellent problem solving and organizational skills

- Excellent oral and written communication skills

- Bilingual with fluency in English and French would be considered an asset
