Job Description

Are you an experienced mechanical maintenance technician? Have you worked with PLC circuits, pneumatics, hydraulics and mechanical drives? If so, your skills are in demand. As the Mechanical Maintenance Tech you will:

* Perform all aspects of the position with Safety as the Top priority.

* Maintain and repair production equipment including troubleshooting PLC circuits, Pneumatics and hydraulic systems and mechanical drives to decrease down time (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff lines).

* Be responsible for preventative maintenance, project work, and installations.

* Install, maintain, and repair machinery, equipment, and electrical systems.

* Follow specifications, blueprints, manuals, and schematic drawings using hand tools, power tools, hoist, and measuring and testing instruments.

* Use diagnostic skills for trouble shooting and repairing equipment.

* Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery as needed.

* Install and repair electrical apparatus, such as wiring and electronic components.

* Repair automated machinery and equipment such as programmable controllers.

* Install and repair electrical systems, apparatus and electrical and electronic components of industrial machinery and equipment using hand tools, power tools, and electrical and electronic test equipment.

* Install power supply wiring and conduit for newly installed machines and equipment such as conveyors and programmable controllers.

* Diagnose malfunctioning apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures, using test equipment and replace damaged or broken wires or cable, using hand tools.

* Test malfunctioning machinery, using test equipment, and discusses malfunction with other maintenance workers.

The ideal candidate will have:

* A High School Diploma or Equivalent (Technical training and certifications a plus)

* 3-5 years' mechanical maintenance experience

* Working knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and maintenance practices.

* Working knowledge of basic electrical wiring in a production environment.

* Machine maintenance experience with PLC circuits, pneumatics and hydraulic systems and mechanical drives (Allen Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, etc)

* A good attendance record, strong work history and good references.
