Job Description

Manpower is looking for candidates to work as a Plant Production Operator in a facility in Ayr! As the Production Operator you will be reporting directly to the Production Supervisor and must be able to supervise any on site temporary personnel and assist in the supervision of onsite contractors.



Responsibilities

-Handle raw materials, transport from storage to charge bins, weigh ingredients and add them to process control systems. Operator must run the control room as well as create SAP/SCORE production batch sheets and queues if and when applicable, bagging and stacking goods. Operator must also be able to operate Production Enlabel system and print and apply required labels for production

-Take samples according to the company procedures

-Perform minor maintenance work on equipment when necessary to ensure continuous operation process

-Take care of good housekeeping within the area

-Must understand and comply with Lock Out Tag Out Try Out (LOTOTO), confined space, dust explosion, forklift, respirator, warehouse training and any other quality and or/ SHE training provided

-Warn offenders and inform managers when instructions are not complied with

-Support the managers in investigating asset utilization issues

-Operate in accordance with cGMP, quality, safety, health and environment guidelines and instructions

-Communicate relevant details with other production team member when leaving

-Examines finished premix products to determine consistency and blend characteristics for future production continual improvement opportunities. Recommend improvements to product appearance, flow and packaging

-Sample products according to operation management system quality control procedures

-Assist in shipping and receiving personnel as required

-Monitor warehouse inventory stock levels, perform inventory cycle counts

-Perform regular safety inspections and make recommendations for improvement take part in monthly safety meetings

-Checks all calibration of scales daily and maintains records

-May perform Training of other employees as instructed by Plant Manager

-May perform incoming and outgoing shipping and receiving



Knowledge/ Educational Level:

-High school diploma or GED equivalent

-Minimum 6 months related experience preferred

-Good reading and writing skills

-Ability to perform basic math

-Good communication skills



Experience Required:

-Ability to operate computers / terminals / scanners

-Must be able to operate a forklift

-Knowledge of and adherence to and including enforcement of company policies addressing health, safety and environmental requirements

-Knowledge of and adherence of all cGMP, Quality (HACCP and ISO9001:2000 requirements)

-Ability and desire to learn and change as required by regulatory concerns and or issues
