Job Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

*The mold setters are responsible for all details, actions and documentation related to the mold setting on the injection molding machine.

*Includes policing all areas around the IMMs, for any components of the mold setting work to be properly installed or in their designated area.

*Mold setting of the mold and the used of the crane to set the mold, maintain the working areas clean and organized at all times.

*Clean up or the mold back plates and the IMM platens during and after the mold changes, water connection and flow verification, Hydraulic connections for valve gate and core with verification of proper function,

*cleanup of the water and oil from the IMM pits before startups,

*wipe down of any hand prints from any surface of the IMM or platform,

*storage of the tool boxes in the die setter cage at the end of every shift,

*installation of the EOAT,

*Loading the correct program in the IMM and the Robot, and the constant use of a radio while in the working hours which means that the mold setter must have a radio on him and it must be on in working order at all times he is at work.

*Die setters who have been trained in MM1 will be expected to start up tooling following die change.

*Assures housekeeping standards are met

*Creates and maintains an environment for a safe and healthy work force

*Maintains and monitors IATF 16949 Quality system

*Maintains and monitors ISO 14001 environmental system

*Changes molds in accordance with priority

*Sets up machines (assembly equipment) associated with mold

*Completes first piece / last piece startup / shut down form

*Maintains a clean and safe mold storage area

*Maintains all mold change equipment

*Reports damaged equipment to the Production Supervisor/Technical Manager

*Stops the flow of production to correct quality issues.

*Uses a crane in a safe manner to change molds

*Wears proper protective equipment as required

*Ensure that all accidents including first aid cases are reported.

*All employees are to follow the safety guidelines established by this facility. Noncompliance to the safety policy will result in disciplinary action and/or termination.

*Changes molds in an effective, safe manner. Assure that all safety and housekeeping procedures are followed. Report all quality and scrap issues to the Production Supervisor as soon as possible



Qualifications:

*High School Diploma or GED

*Training as defined by Training Requirements list

*This position is accountable to the Technical Manager

*Must pass math assessment during interview process

*Minimum of 1-year of experience

*Must provide and have own tools
