Job Description

Certified Forklift Operator



Manpower is currently seeking to fulfill a temporary to permanent position for a Certified Forklift Operator in a Warehouse in Red Deer, Alberta. The hours would be Monday to Friday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.



This position starts immediately and a Canadian Criminal Background Check is required.



Duties would include:

* Handle all incoming shipments.

* Follow all safety practices for warehouse operations.

* Assist in loading the trucks.

* Perform verification of purchased products and enter order receipts into our client's computer system.

* Perform quality assurance inspections when appropriate.

* Pull, pack, weigh and label materials for shipment (including assemble & hold orders).

* Place received material, after segregating backorders, into proper warehouse storage locations.

* Maintain appropriate forms pending return of material.

* Inspect condition of returned material prior to completing return authorization forms.

* Pull stock and return it to the correct location pending credit memo, sale or return to supplier.

* May assist with over the counter sales.

* Internal computer software in use



We are looking for candidates whom have:

* Previous Shipping / Receiving experience

* Must have Current Forklift Ticket

* Manual lifting required for this role - up to 60pds in weight - must be physically fit

* Physical dexterity to handle prolonged lifting, sitting, standing, kneeling, or walking

* Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Outlook).

* Strong Customer Service skills

* Excellent interpersonal skills and verbal and written communication skills

* Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive and professional work environment
